Tyron Smith Playing? Leighton Vander Esch Injury? La’el Collins Out? Ezekiel Elliott? Cowboys Rumors
Episode 522
Dallas Cowboys Rumors is back with several key Cowboys injury updates on Tyron Smith, Leighton Vander Esch and La’el Collins. Plus, what exactly is wrong with the Cowboys run defense and rushing game with Ezekiel Elliott? It’s Cowboys vs. Jets in Week 6 of the NFL season and the Cowboys are the favorites. But will they have their two starting tackles in Tyron Smith and La’el Collins? There’s progress on one of them, but getting both back in the starting lineup might be asking too much. Leighton Vander Esch missed Cowboys practice on Wednesday, but not because of a knee issue, as was first reported. It’s just an illness and he’ll be just fine. Ezekiel Elliott has not put up his normal numbers this year. But is it as simple as “establishing the run?” Cowboys Report host Tom Downey breaks down what’s going wrong on both sides of the ball with the run. The Cowboys’ run defense has been poor because of missed tackles and defensive line play, so what’s the solution for better play? Cowboys Rumors: Jason Garrett On Hot Seat, La’el Collins Injury, Tyron Smith Return & Brett Maher?
Episode 521
Jason Garrett’s status as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys is one of the top Cowboys Rumors today, although with injury updates on La’el Collins and Tyron Smith. Plus, what does the future hold for Brett Maher and should Dak Prescott be getting blamed for the Cowboys’ problems. Cowboys Injury News centers on Tyron Smith, La’el Collins and Tony Pollard. Smith is working towards a return, but there’s no guarantee he’ll play against the New York Jets this week. The same is true for La’el Collins, who could miss a game or two with an MCL sprain. In good news, Tony Pollard doesn’t appear to have any serious injuries. Jason Garrett started the year 3-0, but has dropped 2 straight games. Despite what Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones say, Garrett absolutely is on the hot seat. After all, he doesn’t have a contract after this year. But a mid-season firing, that’s a different story. Brett Maher continues to miss field goals, so is it time to finally move on from him? What other kickers could the Cowboys target? Finally, Dak Prescott is getting hated on again, but is he the problem with the Cowboys right now? Maybe he’s not the greatest QB ever, but he’s not the biggest problem. That’s just dumb. Cowboys Grades For Jason Garrett, Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper And Brett Maher vs. Packers In Week 5
Episode 520
Dallas Cowboys Grades from their 34-24 Week 5 loss against the Green Bay Packers focuses on the Dallas Cowboys’ offense, Jason Garrett, the defense, Brett Maher, Amari Cooper and Dak Prescott. The Cowboys tried to make it a game, but failed in the end and are now 3-2. The Cowboys’ offense looked really bad (at least to start) for the second week in a row under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Dak Prescott finished 27/44 for 463 yards and 2 TDs but he threw 3 interceptions, making a fourth quarter comeback next to impossible. The Packers have now won 8 of the last 9 meetings. The Cowboys’ defense did not play well, especially Leighton Vander Esch. LVE missed tackles and his play was mimicked by the entire defense, earning himself a D in Tom’s grade book. The defense has no answers for Packers RB Aaron Jones, who racked up over 100 yards rushing in addition to his four touchdowns and 75 yards receiving. Jaylon Smith and Dorance Armstrong both sacked Rodgers, but ultimately came up short. The Cowboys offense, defense & special teams is graded by host Tom Downey in this episode of the Cowboys Report, as well as various Cowboys with notable performances vs. the Green Bay Packers. Here’s the full list of grades handed out: Offense: D Defense: D- Special Teams: F Jason Garrett: F Dak Prescott: C Ezekiel Elliott: B+ Amari Cooper: A Michael Gallup: A Leighton Vander Esch: D Do you love the Cowboys? Episode 518
The Dallas Cowboys injuries have been a major storyline heading into the Week 5 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Both missed practice Thursday, putting their status for Sunday in doubt. Harrison Graham fills in for Tom Downey on the Cowboys Report and gets you caught up with the latest news & rumors. The Cowboys have gotten some good news on the injury front as Michael Gallup, Tyrone Crawford and Antwaun Woods have all returned to practice in some capacity. Cowboys News: Tyron Smith Injury, Kavon Frazier, Cowboys Offense Struggles & Dak Prescott’s Play
Episode 517
Dallas Cowboys News focuses on Injury updates for Tyron Smith, Kavon Frazier and DeMarcus Lawrence. Plus, what the heck happened to the Cowboys offense in Week 4 against the Saints? Does Kellen Moore, Jason Garrett, Dak Prescott of the Offensive Line get the blame? Tyron Smith Injury update is a good one: Although Smith did suffer a high ankle sprain, it isn’t as bad as the team first feared. There’s no exact timetable on his return, so he could miss some time, but the injury is not as bad as it could have been. Cowboys Injuries also impact Kavon Frazier. After this was filmed, it was reported that Frazier’s season is indeed over with a torn pectoral muscle. He’ll go on IR. DeMarcus Lawrence missed some time in the 4th quarter, so what is up with his injury or non-injury? The Cowboys offense was a mess in Week 4. The game plan by Jason Garrett and Kellen Moore was foolishly conservative and it hurt Dallas. So how much blame goes to the coaches, Dak Prescott and the offensive line? Cowboys Grades For Kellen Moore, Offense, Ezekiel Elliot, Dak & Robert Quinn vs. Saints In Week 4

Tom's suit is provided by Kashiyama the Smart Tailor. Your very own made to measure tailored suits, starting at just $300: Book appt in Dallas: http://KASHIYAMA1927.com/ The Cowboys’ offense looked really bad for the first time in 2019 under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. They couldn’t get anything going in the air or on the ground. Dak Prescott finished 22/33 for 223 yards before he threw an interception on a hail mary attempt on the final play of the game. Ezekiel Elliott had 35 yards on the ground on 18 attempts, an average of 1.9 yards per carry which is the 2nd worst in a game in his career. The Cowboys’ defense played well & didn’t allow a touchdown in the game, but the lack of offensive production resulted in the Cowboys’ first loss of the 2019 NFL season. Robert Quinn had a monster night, racking up 2 sacks which would have been 3 if it wasn’t for a penalty. Leighton Vander Esch was all over the place with 11 tackles on defense. Chidobe Awuzie got an interception early in the game, but none of this was enough for the Cowboys to seal a victory against a New Orleans Saints team that was without Drew Brees. Cowboys vs. Saints Highlights: Dallas Offense, Ezekiel Elliott & Dak Struggle In 12-10 Week 4 Loss
Episode 515
Dallas Cowboys highlights from their 12-10 loss against the New Orleans Saints. Tom's suit provided by Kashiyama the Smart Tailor. Your very own made to measure tailored suits, starting at just $300: Book appt in Dallas: http://KASHIYAMA1927.com/ The Cowboys visited the Saints in Week 4 of the 2019 NFL season and had their worst performance of the 2019 NFL season thus far. The defense played solid but the offense could not get things going at all, scoring only 10 points. Dak Prescott went 22/33 for 223 yards and 1 INT while Ezekiel Elliott was bottled up the entire game, rushing for 35 yards on 18 carries with the Cowboys’ lone TD of the contest. Turnovers hurt the Cowboys chances of winning this game. First it was Jason Witten who coughed up the ball on a big catch & run. Then, Ezekiel Elliott fumbled on a critical 4th & 1 giving the Saints the ball back in good field position which led to a field goal. Although, Zeke appeared to be down on the play, but the Refs upheld the call. The Cowboys’ defense only allowed 12 points, but the Cowboys offense did not look nearly as good as it has the past 3 weeks. Who is to blame for the Cowboys unimpressive performance?
