Suns News Update: GM says "unlikely" Suns keep all three draft picks

In today's Suns news update, the Phoenix Suns will be looking to wheel and deal away at least one of their three picks in the 2014 NBA Draft prior to Thursday's proceedings.

Per Matt Moore of CBS Sports, Suns GM Ryan McDonough told CBS' Baumann and Big Joe that it is "unlikely" that the team will use all of their scheduled selections - intimating that a trade could be imminent.

Phoenix currently holds pick #14 (their own), #18 (acquired from Washington in the Marcin Gortat trade), and #27 (received from Indiana in the Luis Scola trade).

With the Suns having seven roster spots spoken for, along with wanting to re-sign free agents PJ Tucker and Eric Bledsoe , they do not have enough room on the roster to add three first-rounders and do work in free agency.

As Moore posits, "Suns owner Robert Sarver is notorious for selling off late round draft picks, but the team looks like it's going to be cheap and good again next year. Could they package them together as part of a move for Kevin Love?"

If so, Phoenix could go from contender to potential favorite in the West in the blink of an eye.
