NHL News: Stars explode for 7 in first game after COVID delay, Dubois on the move, and more

The Stars (1-0) opened the season after a 10 day delay due 17 positive cases on their team in early January. They crushed the Predators (2-2) 7-0 on the strength of Joe Pavelski’s two goals and Anton Khudobin’s 34 saves.

“We wanted to come into this game with no excuses and we wanted to be able to match their work ethic or even try to outwork it,” Pavelski who opened the scoring said. “It turned into a special teams game, but overall you feel good.”
