The Stars (12-4-0, first in Central) lost their last game, 3-2 at home to the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday on a late third-period goal by Toronto's Jake Gardiner. Morweena's James Reimer was the difference for the Leafs, turning away 34 of 36 shots he faced.
The anemic Leafs, weirdly, have owned the high-flying Stars this season. Dallas has just four losses in 16 games, but two of them have come to cellar-dwelling Toronto. The Leafs beat the Stars earlier this season, 4-1, at Air Canada Centre.
Dallas's loss to the Leafs snapped a three-game winning streak and was just the second loss at home this season for the Stars.
