After a sad home loss Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, which extended a winless skid to 0-4-1, the Leafs rallied to beat the Dallas Stars at home Monday. Toronto has started the season 2-7-2 under new coach Mike Babcock. Toronto's only other win was against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
With a three-point night Monday, defenceman Morgan Reilly became the Leafs' scoring leader with three goals and eight points.
Goalie James Reimer, a Morweena, Man., product, has both of Toronto's wins this season (2-1-0). Monday, he stopped 43 shots from the Stars to earn the victory.
