After being bought out by the Denver Nuggets, J.J. Hickson’s arrival was not much more than a footnote to an underwhelming season.
Hickson arrived in Washington as part of the the team’s last ditch effort to squeeze into the playoffs. Washington had just moved DeJuan Blair and Kris Humphries in a trade for Markieff Morris and depth up front was limited, so they signed Hickson.
