Recapping And Grading The Washington Nationals At The Halfway Point Of The MLB Season

The Washington Nationals have reached the halfway point in their season with a 40-41 record. It's been a wild ride so far and we may want to buckle up as the team continues their climb to respectability in the NL East.

The team has been led by their pitching staff and improved defensive play. The pitching staff has a solid 3.51 ERA and nobody saw that coming into the season. The Nats are trailing the Philadelphia Phillies by 11 games in the N.L. East and the Atlanta Braves by 6.5 games in the N.L. Wildcard race.
