In his last 3 starts, LHP Daniel Rosenbaum has allowed just 4 earned runs in 21.0 innings (1.71 ERA)...despite an impressive 2.28 ERA in 7 starts overall, he has just one win in 2011...in 2010 Rosenbaum suffered a similar fate, receiving only 5 wins in 25 starts despite posting a 2.25 ERA overall...Rosenbaum, a Single-A South Atlantic League All-Star in 2010, was selected in the 22nd round of the 2009 Draft out of Xavier University (OH).

OF Eury Perez ranks 2nd in the Carolina League with 13 stolen bases...he's 13 for 14 (92%) in stolen base attempts...Perez, 20, is hitting .329 with 3 doubles, 6 RBI and 7 runs scored in 21 contests...last season, Perez finished 2nd in professional baseball with 64 stolen bases.

LHP Josh Smoker is 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA and a .170 BAA (8-for-47) in 12 games (13.0 innings)...Smoker, selected by Washington in the first round (31st overall) of the 2007 Draft, continues to work his way back from November 2008 left shoulder surgery that forced him to miss the majority of the 2009 campaign...last season, Smoker made 30 appearances (19 starts) with Single-A Hagerstown, striking out 92 in 91.1 innings.
