Jordan Normore was at a car auction in Kitchener in March 2020 when he learned the NHL was shutting down because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that he wouldn’t be seeing the Maple Leafs play the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Nearly two years later, he has a frustrating feeling of déjà vu.
Normore, his wife and their hockey-playing son planned to travel from Halifax to Toronto to see the Raptors take on the Los Angeles Clippers on New Year’s Eve, and the Leafs against the Ottawa Senators on New Year’s Day.
Instead, he’ll be getting a refund.
