Given that there hasn’t been NHL hockey for several months now, I’m looking forward to this tournament even more than usual.
Let’s take a look at who could win the gold at this year’s event as well as the six prospects participating from the Toronto Maple Leafs organization.
Team Canada

On paper, Canada is a dominant team with questionable goaltending. All 14 of their forwards are former first-round picks, and six of their eight defensemen are as well. Centermen Kirby Dach and Quinton Byfield have a chance to be the two best players in this tournament; under regular circumstances, they’d likely be playing in the NHL rather than playing for their country.
