TORONTO -- Jakub Kindl scored with 2:43 remaining in overtime as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 on Friday.
Kindl was able to skate in right down the middle and beat James Reimer over the blocker for his second goal of the season.
Henrik Zetterberg scored his 300th career goal for the Red Wings (7-5-1), who have won three in a row.
Dion Phaneuf found the back of the net for the Maple Leafs (2-8-3), who have just one win in seven games this season at Air Canada Centre.
