The Toronto Maple Leafs won only six times, and while there were four back-to-backs, there were also nine home games, making the results unacceptable.
Still, with injuries, the schedule, and some advanced stats that suggest better results are in their future, it was not a total loss for the Leafs in October.
Disappointing and frustrating, sure. But not without hope.
If the Montreal Canadiens picked up even a point last night in Vegas, the Maple Leafs will find themselves outside of a playoff spot after a month. Not ideal! (Note this post was written prior to last night’s games).
