On Friday, the Toronto Maple Leafs called up massive forward Radim Zohorna from the Toronto Marlies.
The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Zohorna from the Calgary Flames at the 2023 NHL trade deadline for Dryden Hunt.
The Leafs called him up due to injuries in their lineup. Wayne Simmonds missed practice due to sickness. Noel Acciari is not ready to play due to whiplash. Ryan O’Reilly rejoined practice on Friday but in a red non-contact jersey. He continues to recover from a broken finger.
Toronto will be in Ottawa on Saturday to play the Senators and at home hosting the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.
