A few days ago, Howard Berger of Between The Posts wrote a post on the Parayko rumour. In his post, he explained that a source close to him mentioned that the Leafs and Blues had opened up communications surrounding the 25 year old right handed defenseman.
Parayko hails from St. Albert, Alberta. For those unfamiliar with the province of Alberta, St. Albert is a northwest suburb of Edmonton.
Prior to his NHL career, Parayko played collegiate hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. In three seasons played in Alaska, he posted 17 goals and 49 assists in 104 games played.
