25 year old Brandon Kozun has signed a one year deal with Jokerit in the KHL for the 2015-2016 season.
Kozun was underwhelming in his 20 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs this year and was on the negative side of possession with a bad team.
His signing in the KHL suggests that the Toronto Maple Leafs didn’t have big plans for the young forward.
Kozun’s departure will have little to no impact on the Leafs moving forward, and it will give him a chance to showcase himself in a bigger role for a potential return to the NHL at some point.
