The Toronto Maple Leafs farm team, the Toronto Marlies, meanwhile, will be playing the Rochester Americans in game one of round one of the AHL playoffs.
The Marlies finished the regular season third in their division, with a 39-37 record. That might not sound like much, but when you consider all the players the Leafs have graduated from the Marlies in recent years, it definitely is an accomplishment that they’re anywhere close to good.
They’ll start the playoffs on the road,as Rochester finished second.
