The Toronto Maple Leafs have had arguably the hottest player in the National Hockey League in William Nylander after the Swedish Star has put together a 17-game point streak to start the year.
It just happens to be in a contract year where there is now a worry that the Toronto Maple Leafs may not be able to afford to bring back Nylander along with superstar Mitch Marner.
Heading into this past off-season, the Leafs had to deal with knowing that both Nylander and Auston Matthews were going into the final season of their contracts before becoming unrestricted free agents.
