I’m taking that as Mr. Cassaday doesn’t feel his offer is adequate after the monster deal that Mike Babcock received.
If I’m doing the hiring then I’d tell John to enjoy retirement – he either wants to run MLSE or he doesn’t. It’s pretty simple.
