Within the core of blue-and-white loyalists, it’s a tale recounted with such fervor and passion that it’s ingrained among the lore of legendary performances by outmatched underdog forces, right up there with the stand of the Spartans in Battle of Thermopylae and David’s slaying of Goliath.
