Rasmus Sandin injured in Toronto Marlies season debut

In a season that has so far seen the Toronto Maple Leafs lose multiple players to injury, we have now learned the Toronto Marlies will be no different:

It sounds like Rasmus Sandin's foot injury will sideline him for several weeks. He got hurt blocking a shot during the Toronto Marlies season opener in Winnipeg on Monday night.

After a long delay, the Canadian AHL season began Monday night with the Toronto Marlies in Winnipeg to pay the Manitoba Moose. Game one went well, with a solid 3-2 victory for the Marlies and that was followed up by a dominant 6-2 win for the Marlies.
