Martin Dzierkals, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies win QMJHL Presidents Cup

Dzierkals becomes the second Leafs prospect in two days to win their leagues championship and a spot in the Memorial Cup tournament.

Wednesday night was Marner & Piccinich's time to shine. Thursday night was all about Dzierkals.

The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies defeated the Shawinigan Cataractes 7-2 to capture their first ever Presidents Cup title, and will represent the QMJHL against the London Knights, Red Deer Rebels, and (most likely) Brandon Wheat Kings in the 2016 Memorial Cup.

The Huskies were coming into this game with a 3-1 series lead over Shawinigan, looking to win their first championship in their 20 year history in front of 3,600 loud, passionate hometown fans.
