Toronto FC ends busy stretch with road loss to Real Salt Lake

SANDY, UTAH—Sebastian Saucedo had a goal and an assist to help Real Salt Lake beat Toronto FC 3-0 on Saturday.

Toronto FC, finishing a stretch of five matches in 15 days, went down a man in the 61st minute when Alejandro Pozuelo received his second yellow card.

“The guys gave an effort, even down a man,” TFC coach Greg Vanney told reporters post-game at Rio Tinto Stadium. “They kept fighting.”

Damir Kreilach opened the scoring for Real Salt Lake in the 14th minute, chest trapping Albert Rusnak’s cross in the middle of the area and finishing it after deflections off a pair of defenders.
