Top 3 Commitments:

4-Star S Brandon Jones

Jones is the first of the three top Texas recruits who made their decision on National Signing Day. Texas wasn't even the favorite to sign him; that was Texas A&M. But the Longhorns found a way to land the No. 1 safety in the nation, per 247Sports.com composite rankings. He's the No. 40 overall player and the No. 6 player from Texas.

4-Star LB Jeffrey McCulloch

McCulloch checks in as the No. 59 overall player in the 2016 class. He's the No. 4 outside linebacker in as well. He's the No. 11 player from the state of Texas. For more on the Texas recruiting class, check out the Chat Sports Android and iPhone app

4-Star LB Erick Fowler

Texas stole Fowler away from LSU on Signing Day. He had been committed to LSU since June. It was a big move for Texas, as Fowler is the No. 7 OLB in the class. He's the 12th-best player from Texas and the No. 75 overall player.
