3 Potential New Texas Football Starters That Will Become Household Names In 2015

New Texas Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong is beginning to mold the program to fit his vision, and there are a few players already on the roster that could help him achieve that goal both on the field and in the locker room. Here's our list of 3 Potential New Texas Football Starters That Will Become Household Names In 2015.

WR Daje Johnson

Strong says Johnson is making major off-the-field strides since receiving a conduct contract from the Longhorns head coach last November. If Johnson can continue on the positive path he's on in his personal dealings, the born playmaker will shine nice and bright under the lights in Austin as one of Texas' go-to home-run threats.

CB Sheroid Evans

Evans is returning from a knee injury, but the senior's going to have every opportunity this spring to solidify himself as a starting corner. He's a natural speedster who was named the 7th-fastest player in all of college football by HeismanPundit.com back in 2013. If he's healthy enough to put his speed to good use, Big 12 offenses with have something major to worry about.

LB Malik Jefferson

Rated by a fair amount of recruiting websites as the #1 prospect out of the state of Texas for the Class of 2015, Jefferson has got "sure thing" written all over him. His frame may be slight(ish) around the shoulders, but his natural downhill explosives and deceptively-amazing strength is going to aid him in implanting opposing ball carriers into fields around the country.
