Riqui Puig’s future at Barcelona has been in the headlines over the last few days after he was left out of the squad for Saturday’s Joan Gamper Trophy match.
Manager Ronald Koeman subsequently admitted he thought it would be better for the youngster to head out on loan in 2020-21 in order to play regularly.
Yet that idea did not go down too well with Puig. The 21-year-old has reportedly told the club he wants to stay and fight for his place.
It’s still not clear what will happen with Puig, but the speculation certainly doesn’t appear to be bothering the youngster.
