Lionel Messi has won Goal's FIFA Ballon d'Or poll, winning the vote ahead of Monday's ceremony in Zurich by a significiant margin.

The Barcelona No. 10 bagged 55 percent of the 44,481 votes for his performances in 2015 as his club stormed to treble glory and Argentina narrowly missed out on Copa America success.

Ronaldo enjoyed a prolific year in front of goal for Real Madrid, but he finished behind Messi in our poll with 31 percent of the total tally.
