Barcelona reportedly paid Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia's 25 million euro release clause on Friday afternoon.
According to multiple reports, the fee has been paid and an official announcement will be made shortly.
Barcelona had already reached agreement with Garcia over the transfer and he will become the club's first signing of the summer.
Garcia is now set to pen a six-year contract at Barcelona and it seems as though he will be first choice next season, with Szczesny as his back-up.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will have something to say about that, although it's been claimed Barca are set to tell him he is not in their plans for the new campaign.
