2017 Copa MX match recap: Tijuana 1, Puebla 0

The Eduardo Coudet era gets its first win as a Paul Arriola goal gives Xolos a 1-0 win over Puebla in Copa MX play.

In the third minute Alonso Escoboza got away from the Tijuana defense on a bit of a breakaway and fired low, but Tono Rodriguez was in good position and easily pounced on the ball.

Xolos would get on the board in the seventh minute when they were awarded a corner kick to the goalkeeper’d right. The kick was taken, and Paul Arriola ran in from the Xolos’ right toward the corner. The ball came to him and he managed to head the ball back to the far post, putting Tijuana in the driver’s seat early.
