SAN JOSE – Joe Pavelski was watching the Blues-Stars game on Wednesday night, presumably to see whom the Sharks might face in the Western Conference Final. But also because, well...Game 7.
“As a kid, as a player even now…they're fun to watch,” Pavelski said. “They’re better to play in.”
The Blues smoked the Stars, 6-1, and will host Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Sunday. The Sharks hope to be their opponent, but will need to find a way to win their own decisive Game 7 on Thursday night at SAP Center against Nashville.
Many Sharks on the roster will be playing in their third Game 7 in the last four seasons, losing to the Kings in 2013 and 2014.
