Joe Pavelski’s tie-breaking goal at 13:45 of the third period enabled the Sharks to snap a four-game losing streak at home with a 4-2 win over Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Pavelski dropped to one knee to one-time a cross-ice feed from defenseman Justin Braun past Flyers goalie Steve Mason. Pavelski’s second power-play goal of the period, and 20th of the season, came at 19:11 to add insurance.
The tie-breaking goal came off a rush, and just three seconds after the expiration of San Jose’s fifth power play of the night. The Sharks converted two earlier man-advantage chances to spark the offense.
