LOS ANGELES -- Coach Pete DeBoer said before the Sharks' game against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday that he thought his team still had some improving to do even after their win in the first game of the series.
Perhaps DeBoer still isn't totally satisfied, but the Sharks showed in Game 2 of their Western Conference quarterfinal that they were more than capable of raising their level of play.Joe Pavelski scored at even strength and Logan Couture added a power-play goal as the Sharks defeated the Kings 2-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the first round playoff series.
