Purdy: For Sharks to win Pavelski, Burns must take their shots

Throughout the past six weeks on their happy Stanley Cup pursuit and adventure, the Sharks have recited their mantra. We heard it over and over in Los Angeles. We heard it in Nashville. We heard it in St. Louis.

Forget the other guys, the mantra has gone. This isn't about them. The name of our opponent doesn't matter. This is about us. If we just play our own game, stick to our own system, contemplate our own existence within our own karma . . . we can win.And so it was again here Tuesday, as the Sharks contemplated what they must do better to win Wednesday in Game 2 of their first Stanley Cup Final after losing Game 1 to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
