DENVER — Gus Nyquist flew home for the birth of his child but is expected to play Tuesday in Game 3 against the Colorado Avalanche at Pepsi Center.
Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said Nyquist is flying back to Denver this afternoon and will be available with the second round series between San Jose and Colorado tied 1-1. Game 3 will start at 7 p.m. (PT).
DeBoer also said that captain Joe Pavelski (head injury) and Joonas Donskoi (undisclosed) did not travel with the team, as the Sharks’ lines and defense pairs will remain the same as they were for Game 2 on Sunday.
