George Kittle, the first tight end to win MVP? Otherwise, Jimmy Garoppolo could come on strong to fit the pass-happy NFL’s annual MVP script. It’s been seven years since a non-QB won MVP: running back Adrian Peterson, who’s now on Washington and will host the 49ers’ cadre of MVP-worthy defenders (see: Arik Armstead).
