Reuben Foster Meeting With Team On Monday
49ers MLB Reuben Foster met with the team on Monday following his Sunday arrest on domestic violence and weapons charges, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

San Francisco is "going through the fact-finding process and no quick resolution is expected." If Foster was a less impactful player for the 49ers, he likely would have already been cut.

This is Foster's second arrest in less than a month. He was previously arrested for marijuana possession in Alabama on January 12th. Foster had issues leading up to the NFL Draft. He failed a drug test at the NFL combine following a diluted sample. He was also kicked out of the NFL combine after an altercation with a hospital employee. The off-the-field issues helped lead to Foster, one of the best prospects in the draft falling to the late first round.

A bright NFL future may be fading due to the off-field issues for Foster.

49ers Interested In CB David Amerson
According to former Raiders cornerback David Amerson's agent Matt Barrows, the 49ers are one of the teams interested in Amerson. The 49ers are expected to be in the market for a cornerback this offseason and thanks to the NFL's rules on rolling over unused cap space, the 49ers have the most cap space in the NFL with $114.1 million. There is no meeting set yet for Amerson and the 49ers to meet, but one may be happening sooner rather than later.

After a solid 2015 season, Amerson earned a big contract from the Raiders, but since signing the contract has struggled. He missed time this past season with a few different injuries and couldn't perform to the level of expectation.

The Raiders cut Amerson a week ago after the 26-year-old recorded only 18 tackles and four passes defended in six games in 2017.

Tremaine Edmunds Mock Draft Favorite For San Francisco In Round One?
NFL.com’s draft analysts (Chad Reuter, Daniel Jeremiah, Bucky Brooks, and Lance Zierlein) all have the 49ers selecting Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds in round one of the NFL Draft.

With Foster's cloudy future, the 49ers may replace him in the first round of the draft with Edmunds.

Edmunds NFL Draft stock is soaring due to his size-speed skill set, plus athletic ability. He led the Hokies with 109 tackles, adding 5.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles this past season.
