Maple Leafs Blow 3-1 Series Lead Against the Canadiens

The ghost of postseasons past showed up in the opening round as the Toronto Maple Leafs blew a 3-1 series lead against the Montreal Canadiens. Toronto needed to win only one of the final three games to punch their ticket to the second round, where the Winnipeg Jets have been waiting since dispatching the Edmonton Oilers in four straight games. But the Leafs failed to capitalize on their chances, dropping all three games, the first two of which came in overtime.

Yet again, the Leafs came out flat in Game 7 against the Habs, posting an expected goals-for percentage of 37.
