SANDY, Utah – (Monday, October 28, 2019) – Utah Royals FC MF Desiree Scott has been named to the Canada Women’s National Team by Head Coach Kenneth Heiner-Møller for an invitational tournament hosted by No. 17-ranked China.
Should she be named to the roster, fellow Royals FC teammate DF Katie Bowen and New Zealand will also participate in the four-team tournament, while Brazil will round out the quartet. The opening matches will take place on November 7 with Canada facing Brazil and New Zealand taking on China. The winners of the two matches will play for the championship, while the other two teams will take part in a third-place match.
