SANDY, Utah (Wednesday, February 19, 2020) – Utah Royals FC defender Sydney Miramontez has announced her retirement from professional soccer.
“Earning the opportunity to play professional soccer will always be one of my greatest achievements. I have been fortunate enough to learn from many of the great talents in the game and I will forever reap the benefits of those experiences,” Miramontez said. “My time as a pro has helped me to better understand who I am, and given me the confidence to begin the next chapter of my life. To play in the NWSL has been a true honor, and to play for a club like Utah Royals FC has been nothing short of a dream.
