Sandy • The date was Aug. 25, 2018, and Real Salt Lake put together an offensive onslaught on the road against Colorado en route to a six-goal performance. Jefferson Savarino put in two of those goals.
It’s been almost a year since it last happened, but Savarino repeated that performance Saturday against the Philadelphia Union. He put two goals into the back of the net and led RSL to a 4-0 win and a sixth-place position in the Western Conference standings.
The victory also marked the fourth consecutive home win for Salt Lake, as well as the third shutout in the last four games.
