The W-League Grand Final is here. Sydney FC made it through last week’s clash with Hayley Raso and the Brisbane Roar intact to set up a date with Sam Kerr’s Perth Glory, and at a reasonable time on the West Coast to boot!
Caitlin Foord is the only Thorn represented in tonight’s Grand Final, but she’s a worthy one, having made the W-League team of the year due to her pivotal role in Sydney’s dangerous front three. Last year Foord brought her team to the W-League semifinal where she suffered a serious foot injury that caused her to miss most of her first season at the Thorns, but she recovered to play a strong and complete season in Australia.
