Chris Nichols of Nichols on Hockey: Darren Dreger on TSN 1050 said there is still a “wide gap” in money between the Toronto Maple Leafs and William Nylander.
Dreger was asked if it’s getting close to the time that the Maple Leafs have to consider trading him, to which he says they have to at least consider it soon. If he’s not signed by December 1st, he’s not eligible to play this season.
“I believe that would be the case late October – where we’re at now – or into the first week of November.
