Coming off of a 4-3, 11 round shootout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in their last contest, the Philadelphia Flyers will look to extend their point streak to three as they play host to the Carolina Hurricanes in their first meeting in 2019-20. The Canes swept the season series with the Flyers last year, outscoring their Metropolitan Division foe 17-9 in the combined four meetings. Philadelphia will hope to flip the script this time around and earn their first win against Carolina since April of 2018.
This inter-divisional clash will see two of the best man-advantage units in the league clash, as the Flyers and Hurricanes both rank Top 10 among all NHL teams in power-play percentage (PP%) coming into tonight.
