When the well is dry, the well is truly dry. There hasn’t been much by the way of breaking news, unless you count Colton Sissons signing a 7 year contract with the Nashville Predators. I will say that signing a depth player to that kind of term carries with it a not insignificant amount of risk. There’s a decent chance the Preds are going to get good value in the first couple of years of the deal, when Sissons is right in his prime, but paying a third (or fourth) line centre $2.86M when they’re 33 could be tricky.
