February 22, 2012 – Defenseman Erik Karlsson set a new franchise record for assists in a season during a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals. Karlsson would end up with 59 assists and 79 points in the 2011-12 campaign, winning the Calder Trophy as the NHL Rookie of the Year.
