Prospect-laden Senators hold their own vs. Leafs

TORONTO - With the Senators expected to make cuts and to assign their remaining players into two squads Wednesday morning — a National Hockey League group and an American Hockey League group — there were countless nervous bodies on the flight home from here late Tuesday.

To its credit, though, the prospect-laden Senators lineup more than held its own against the more veteran Maple Leafs roster.

The Senators skated to a somewhat surprising 5-2 victory with goals from Logan Brown, Fredrik Claesson, Erik Burgdoerfer, Filip Chlapik and Patrick Sieloff, the latter two into an empty net to put the game out of reach.
