Ottawa Senators head coach DJ Smith had informed the media assembled at the Canadian Tire Centre that the team would be making cuts to their roster ahead of their Saturday night game against the Montreal Canadiens. Friday afternoon the club sent out a press release that they had release 11 players from the training camp roster.
Heading back to the QMJHL
The Ottawa Senators have sent their most recent seventh-round draft pick back to his junior club. Maxence Guenette has been sent back to Val d’Or of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League of the CHL.
