Right now, the NHL salary cap is listed as $79.5 million (United States Dollar). That leaves Toronto with just over $6 million in cap space (per capfriendly.com). It is expected that the salary cap will be going up. According to Sportsnet.ca, the expected cap limit will be set at $83 million which would give Toronto just over $9.5 million to spend.
