The NY Rangers were knocked back down to Earth in style yesterday, as Dallas capitalized on the few chances they had en route to a 5-3 win. This game was relatively even at even strength, but it was the Stars who managed to get three unanswered in the second and third to pull away. This game was all about Dallas converting their chances and the Rangers not doing much to answer.
The game itself was relatively slow paced, and those are the games where the Rangers struggle. It didn’t help that the goaltending just wasn’t there today.
