New York Rangers: Searching for success as they host Anaheim

The New York Rangers are about to lose a core piece of their young system.

Lias Andersson formally asked the Blueshirts for a trade, and is no longer with the club, as was reported by TSN’s Darren Dreger on Saturday.

Andersson, who gave fans high hopes on his draft night, has not developed as well as the team may have expected. Being recalled up and down to Hartford of the AHL throughout this season may not have helped his development, but the progress just has not been there.

But Andersson isn’t the only worry for the Rangers.
