Willy Hernangomez requests trade
Knicks center Willy Hernangomez has requested to be traded, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

Representatives for New York Knicks center Willy Hernangomez requested for him to be traded ahead of Thursday’s deadline, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Hernangomez’s representatives informed Knicks officials of the trade request in recent days, league sources said, seeking a team in which he can continue his development as a young NBA center.

Hernangomez was a productive player as a rookie last year, averaging 8.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. However, he has largely fallen out of New York's rotation this season, averaging 4.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in only 9.2 minutes in 25 appearances.

Teams interested in Hernangomez
Several teams are interested in Hernangomez, namely the Utah Jazz, according to CBS New York.

Several teams have expressed interest in the second-year center, according to multiple reports. The Daily News reported Wednesday that the Utah Jazz are among those teams.

The San Antonio Spurs are also reportedly interested in Hernangomez, who still has two years left on his rookie contract.

Latest on Joakim Noah
New York has placed center Joakim Noah on indefinite leave after he got into a heated exchange with head coach Jeff Hornacek, and it appears that the only way he'll return to the team is if they make a coaching change, according to Stefon Bondy of the New York Daily News.

Here’s one possible way Joakim Noah comes back: the Knicks change coaches. Source says Noah and Hornacek “pretty much hate each other.”

Noah, who the Knicks are trying to trade, is averaging 1.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 5.7 minutes in seven games this season.
